Day 9 - Homeward Bound

Ho hum. I'm bored.

I was wide awake at 6:00 am, way earlier than I needed to be up. So I figured I'd just get moving, check in my bags at the train station, then do a bit of shopping. Silly me, if I would... read more...

Day 8 - Montreal

I'm in my hotel room sipping a beer and watching the the All Star Game's home run derby.

I had a fantastic day here in Montreal. The weather was perfect for walking. I wandered around old Montreal, did... read more...

Day 7/8: Montreal Bound

I'm sitting in the Montreal train station, exhausted. I feel craptacular. The train left at 12:30 yesterday. It was comfortable and pleasant enough, but I just didn't get enough sleep. Or enough water... read more...

Day 5 - Halifax

What a day.

I woke up earlier than I had planned, and enjoyed a leisurely coffee and brunch in front of the HD TV in the lounge, watching the Jays highlights on TSN. Then, I headed off to the Citadel.... read more...

Day 4- Halifax

I arrived safe and sound into Halifax after a long night and day on the train. The weather was foggy but comfortable. I settled into my room and grabbed some groceries at the store about a block away.... read more...

Day 3 - Quebec City

We started off today with a nice lunch at my mom's favorite restaurant, St Hubert. It's a rotisserie chicken joint. There used to be quite a few in Ontario, and they've closed. Many a fond memory from... read more...

Day 2, Part Deux

I'm so glad I decided to go back out last night. Our hotel is on Rue St Jean, and our section of the street was closed to traffic. I heard a Samba (I believe?) band and went to check them out. They were... read more...

Day 2

So today was my full day in Quebec City. We wandered around last night after we checked into the hotel, and the vibe in the city was just awesome. We're staying near Place D'Youville, where there are concerts... read more...
