So today was my full day in Quebec City. We wandered around last night after we checked into the hotel, and the vibe in the city was just awesome. We're staying near Place D'Youville, where there are concerts going on in the evenings. A bunch of folks watch from the wall at artillery park.
On the way to dinner, we were watching this mime dude and he quit just as we approached. I made a frowny-face and waved a loonie at him, and he indulged me. Heh heh. My mom took this picture:

I had a very nice Caesar salad with a Fin du Monde, and a Maudite. Unibroue beers are available in Ontario, so I've had them before, but it's been a long time. It was nice to have them again.
Mom and I were up early today to go to the Citadel for the changing of the guard, and we got hosed. They aren't doing it this week because of other events going on. Quite a disappointment.
We walked around downtown and went to the lower town... and that was about it. It was too hot to do much else. At least I got to add to my beer list. Today, I tried Boreal Blonde and St James.
The Blue Jays are losing and I think that's a good excuse to go see the street performers downstairs instead. Bon nuit!
