Day 1-Vancouver to Prince George

Day 1-Vancouver to Prince George

Okay, okay, so technically I didn't cross the WHOLE country by train. But I did cross the whole country, and that's what counts right? Anyway, the reason I had to go to Prince George was for my last exam (what a way to start my trip, eh?) so it became a waypoint on my journey.

The bus ride there was....I hate the Greyhound. Don't get me wrong, it's hugely convenient, and the seats are comfy.. but when you've taken it on the same route 7 times in the same year, it loses a little bit of its lustre. Thankfully, this time nobody around me was deathly ill, although the TV over top of my head was rattling threateningly like it was about to fall on my head the entire time.

With a lot of reading, studying and music I managed to make it through to the PG bus station to wait in the cold for a taxi while some man decided it would be a good idea to tell me his life story. What I learned from it was: If you can't pronounce the title of the degree, don't get it. Sitting on my butt for 12 hours was exhausting, so I fell asleep pretty quickly.
