Day Two: to Winnipeg

After a horrible night sleep on the train I realized the irony of not booking in "Sleeper Class". I am finally feeling the class system bearing down on me for the first time in Canada. We woke up at 0600 to photograph the Kamloops station and it was worth it. The sun came peaking over the desert hills and onto the rail platform. People groggy from the night were getting off and others were waiting patiently at the station to get on. Every station that the train stops at George and I get off and document the people, light and station. The journey on the train is full of events and stories that we cannot help but film/ record as well. In Kamloops we realized our train engine had a large Marvel Comic Spiderman advertisement on it. Apparently the Spider-man trains are cursed... I wonder if we will get to Winnipeg on time!
