VIA Rail Canada will provide administrative services, (i.e. their servers and basic services) for visitors to and bloggers on Canada Travel Blog (and Blogue voyage Canada for the French version).
Canada Travel Blog (and it's French-language counterpart, Blogue voyage Canada) will provide bloggers with a web page (your blog), which the blogger alone must administer, and allow bloggers to: publish texts and images on the Internet; incorporate links in their pages to other blogs or external sites; and, visit and leave comments on other blogs on the site. This blog is accessible at: www.canadatravelblog.com/(yourblogname).
Published texts remain the sole and full responsibility of the blogger. Blogs on Canada Travel Blog must not contain any information that violates public order or good moral values. Regardless, considering the potential volume of information, Canada Travel Blog can only exercise a limited amount of control over blog content. Canada Travel Blog cannot guarantee the veracity, probity or authenticity of the blog content. Consequently, Canada Travel Blog cannot be held responsible for false declarations made by a blogger and is released of all responsibility in the event that visitors and/or bloggers meet in person as a consequence of using this service.
As to content, bloggers agree to solely publish texts and photos that reflect the site's theme of "Canada". More precisely, as the name of the portal indicates, the blogger must address travel undertaken within Canadian borders. However, it is acceptable if the blogger makes occasional reference to other world destinations in their texts. Bloggers must also avoid discussing politics or judicial matters as visitors have been promised travel stories, and good tips for where to go and what to do.
To create a blog, visit the Canada Travel Blog site and follow the instructions. The blogger must post messages in English on the Canada Travel Blog, and in French on Blogue voyage Canada. The service is free of charge. The blogger must however, provide a valid e-mail address when completing the registration process.
All texts belong to the author, who is solely responsible for what is published in those texts. Therefore, reproducing or distributing blog texts without the express consent of the author goes against the intellectual property laws adopted by the grand majority of world countries. Also, a blog text must not have copyright in order to be protected: once it is written, it is protected. If you wish to reproduce a blog text published on the Canada Travel Blog site, you must contact the blogger (through their web page) to obtain permission. Please describe your intentions in detail, and thank the blogger in advance. Also, remember your "Net-iquette": assure the blogger that you will cite the source of the text.
As the CanadaTravelBlog.ca and BlogueVoyageCanada.ca web sites belong to VIA Rail Canada, VIA and its respective agents reserve the right to use excerpts from blogs published on CanadaTravelBlog.ca and BlogueVoyageCanada.ca as testimonials in advertising or publicity to be used on the VIA Rail web site and its satellite web sites without any further compensation or notice.

The blogger may, at any time, terminate their profile and withdraw their blog from the Canada Travel Blog portal. To do so, the blogger must contact administrators by mail, telephone or e-mail at webmaster@viarail.ca.
The storage space allotted for the blog will remain available to the blogger for a maximum of one week after the termination date. It is the blogger's responsibility to save their data on their hard drive or through any other means available to them.
Moreover, any blog remaining inactive for more than one year may be terminated by Canada Travel Blog if after 30 days it does not receive a reply to the alert e-mail sent to the blogger (thus the importance of providing a valid e-mail address).
